Here are some things you need to know
about how things go in my classroom.
Expectations for Student Behavior
¨ Contribute
to a respectful learning environment
¨ Be
here on time, ready to learn, think, and be resourceful, inquisitive, and
engaged in learning
¨ Treat
all people the way you want to be treated, demonstrating sensitivity to our
diverse community
¨ Grow
and learn, making decision that reflect your growth
Classroom Policies
¨ Late
Work: I do not accept late work,
ever. However, students may turn in
missed assignments for 1 point to earn extra credit at the end of the semester.
¨ Projects: Due on the due date for everybody, whether
you are here or not. NO EXCUSES. For Film Study and Health classes, all projects
and essays must be completed to receive credit for the class.
¨ Extra
Credit: I give extra credit at the end
of the semester. If there are no zeros
in the grade book for homework, tests, and essays/projects, students will earn
50 homework points.
¨ Messy
stuff: Please do not eat or chew gum in
my class. Students may have drinks with
lids to avoid spilling.
¨ Electronics/Phones: Our school policy says students may not use
these things during class time. Students
should keep these items in their backpacks.
Grades
