Lesson 1 - Scientific Method
When you email an assignment please include the Lesson # and the part which you received the question. (ie) Lesson 1 Part 2
1. Check the three reference pages (reference periodic table ; reference scientific method ; reference calculators) from the Resources Page. Email me to let me know you can get all of these.
2. Read all the links for the Scientific Method reference:
3. Email me (bhill@lcsd.k12.wa.us) five reasons that show how the scientific methods are alike and five reasons how they are different?
4. Go to the site http://quizstar.4teachers.org/index.jsp to take the first quiz. You must use your first initial and last name as log in and use "science" as the password. Once you start a quiz you must complete it. I will check to score it
5. Locate the reference Calculators from the Resources Page and read each of the 3 links. Pay particular attention to those calculators that deal with metric conversions.
6. Go to the site http://www.webct.com/service/ViewContent?contentID=10138lculator and read the Units and Measures link on this page.
7. Find 5 other sites that deal with converting metrics of lengths, volume, or mass. Email those URL's (internet address) to me and then do the converting assignment in the Assignment page.
8. Go to the site: http://www.teachers.net/lessons/posts/8.html and complete the assignment for this site. Email me the results along with the questions (copy and paste).
9. Go to the site: http://www.todayinsci.com/ and find 3 special events that happened on your birthday. Send these along with the results of the assignment above.
10. Start the Occupation Search assignment from the Assignment page. This will be an ongoing assignment that will be emailed once for the semester.
