DUPLICATE OF LESSON #8. STUDENT WORK DAY

LESSON GOALS:

• Help students update their portfolios.
• Help students create rationales for work samples.

ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS:

• Have I been collecting appropriate work samples?
• What is my rationale for the work sample chosen?

MATERIALS NEEDED:

• Portfolios
• Work Samples
• Rationale Templates

CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES:

1. Discuss Portfolios. Remind students that is an important part of their culminating project and is a graduation requirement. Their portfolio will be a major component of the SLC.

2. Discuss work samples and rationales. Discuss the type of work to be included in their portfolios. Discuss the rationales and make them reflective.

3. Student work time. Teachers will proctor and facilitate work environment.

STUDENT PRODUCTS:

• Updated work samples and portfolios. Add Rationales to portfolios.
