Looking Ahead
March 8 - 12 is Conference Week and students will be
released at 11:30 a.m. all week. These are student led
conferences, so your child will be presenting their best
work to you. If you have not been scheduled for your child's
conference, please contact the middle school office.
March 29 - April 2 - Spring Break
ONE-WAY
We would like to remind everyone that the entrance to
our parking lot behind the middle school gym is a
“one-way” ENTRANCE only. Cars need to use the main
driveway to EXIT the parking lot. We sincerely appreciate
your cooperation to help keep traffic flowing and also to
avoid any near collisions at the back entrance to our school
campus. Thank you for your help in this matter.

Track Practice
Track begins the first day back after spring Break,
April 5. Please be sure you have all paper work turned in
prior to that day.
Lunch Program
In these economic hard times, we would like to remind
parents that assistance is available. You may call or stop
by any office for an application for the Free or Reduced
Lunch Program. Approval is based solely on income and size
of household. If you are approved for free or reduced lunch,
you will also qualify for free breakfast.
College Bound Scholarships
If you are a current 7th or 8th grade student and are
eligible for free or reduced lunch, you may be able to apply
for a scholarship. To learn more about the scholarships and
their eligibility requirements or to apply on-line, please
visit: www.hecb.wa.gov/collegbound . The deadline is
June 30, 2010.
Connect Ed Notification System
LCSD has adopted the Connect Ed Notification System to
let you know of any emergencies, school delays and other
important information. Please be sure to keep the office
updated on any changes in your contact numbers.
Immunization Updates
We have a large number of students who don't show dates
in our system for their tetanus booster. If your child has
received immunizations in the last two years and you have
not updated the office, please provide that info. to us.
Community Library Hours
The hours for our community library are Monday,
Wednesday, Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday 11
a.m. to 8 p.m.
